What about when you have all fashion fiesta coming together for an inter college fest?  Yes! It happened at NIFT – National Institute of Technology with its annual inter college Spectrum that happens in all the centres around the month of February every year.

NIFT  Raebareli hosted Spectrum 2016 that had theme “Offbeat- Is Baar Zara Hatke!”  and was two days successful event wherein various colleges from Raebareli, Lucknow and nearby places came in to participate in this event held on 26th – 27th February.

The event was a bundle of varied cultural, literary, sports and creative events designed by keeping the theme in mind. It was a sight to see where this fest was more than a competition and various performances.

Spectrum event was full of life that gave opportunity to the students to interact with different set of students and thus taking the event to another level. Event got huge media attention and was covered in an extensive manner.

One of the performers expressed, ‘I enjoy more in creating than in consuming. Choreographing the “Theme Dance”, a portrayal of our theme ‘Offbeat’ through a dance performance was a delight. “

Talking about the welcome that the performers received from the audience was remarkable, “The audience burst into applause when a team of unexpected, non-dancers rocked the stage with sheer confidence and sense of rhythm”.

The event had something for everyone and was well carried by the enthusiastic team of Anchors that carried entire two day event with lots of excited and zeal by engaging crowd. The evening was taken away with the performance by a Lucknow based musical band, ‘Trishna’ leaving the crowd mesmerized and grooving on the musical notes.

NIFT Raebareli closed its two day event on a success note and winners from various events were honoured by the Chief guest, Prof. Rakesh Kapoor, Director SGPGI  and guest of honour, Shri Surya Pal Gangwar, District Magistrate, Raebareli.

The event- Spectrum 2016 organised by NIFT Raebareli left its impression on everyone and raised expectations for the next year.
